Direitos autorais: Nowadays, the employment of Armed Forces in operations to support major events are growing. In this scenario, is important to have a full availability of support elements, among them the electronic warfare (GE), responsible for support electronic warfare measures (MAGE) and the electronic attack measures (MAE). Although both are excellent tools to support the troop, there is currently little use of MAE actions in the operations carried out. For that reason, the purpose of this work was to analyze the electronic warfare support provided to the troops employed in major events, particularly concerning MAE actions. Researches were carried out in specialized journals, monographs and course completion papers, regulations and equipment testing reports, in order to verify the possibilities and limitations of the GE elements regarding to MAE, as well as reports of military personnel were collected to verify the effective use in these operations. Discussion: It is noted that Brazilian Army has no specific doctrine for GE employment in law and order guarantee operations, which makes difficult to plan and execute this support, especially concerning MAE, because of the risks and effects related to these actions. It is also noticed that, despite this deficiency, MAE actions have been carried out in support of large events with limitations, usually in equipment tests, but with effective results. It has been found that the demand for GE's support, particularly MAE actions, has been increased due to the new scenarios faced by Armed forces. Because of this, it is necessary an enhancement of the capabilities of GE elements, especially in the issue of employment doctrine and its equipment, enabled by the constant training of GE troops and commanders awareness of the importance of this support.
